Edit your photos with controls you are used to. Brightness and density work the negative, shadows and highlights work the two ends of the scale, and spot colour moves one colour and leaves the rest alone. Every change renders where the photo sits.

Pick a simulation preset and your photo takes on that film's colour, from muted portrait stocks to saturated ones. Each one is built from the real film's published curves, and every pixel goes the way it goes in a darkroom: exposed onto the negative, then printed onto the paper.

The curve runs from the shadows on the left to the highlights on the right. Click it to add a point and drag: up makes those tones lighter, down makes them darker. It is drawn on the photograph's histogram, with every other edit already in it.

With no channel picked, the curve moves all three. Pick R, G or B over the plot and it moves that one alone. Blacks and Whites follow the same pick.

A photo looks the same everywhere it appears: on the desk, in the book and in the printed PDF. Edits never touch the original file, and the same grade goes into the print PDF. Copy one photograph's whole look with ⌥⌘C and paste it onto others with ⌥⌘V.
